And We Can Type As Well

The past six years has been a blur since we jumped into the deep end and originated The Gadjo Playboys. Like any growing creative entity, we've gone through personnel and enjoyed a lot of venues, large and small, so we thought it might be time to actually communicate with a few of those who continue to come out and see and hear us.
This little blogging adventure will be as successful as your input. So, we're looking forward to your remarks and responses.

I think that Elizabeth's (artelisa's) suggestion is a darned good one... why NOT tour Europe? I offer you my services right here and now as your road manager. Let's say, at minimum, six weeks haunting all the best and funkiest dives 'the old world' has to offer.

count me in.... perhaps scott and jerry should go on a recon to find these funky dives.....and yes..elisabeth is very smart.

See you at Djangofest Northwest. Just reserved the cottage. Now to find a flight, a rental car and a rental string bass. Bruce

Very nice website! Visually appealing; well organized; easy to navigate; All that doesn't happen by itself, so kudos to the designer!

Also, fatfiddle.com is a great looking site! You've come a long way along the digital highway in the last several years!

Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks?!

Robin

P.S. I'll gladly roadie for you in Europe.

I can definitely attest to the long arduous process of assembling a productive, well-organized, and talented group of musicians; moreover, the Gadjo Playboys has succeeded in producing all of the above with group members who are dedicated to rehearsing, composing, and performing, quite successfully, in a wide variety of venues. The band’s music has reached so many people of all ages. My boyfriend continues to play songs from the CD during his radio broadcast on the Wake Forest University station, and has even received a request for one of the songs. The caller did not specify a tune, but requested that any song from the CD be played, quote “they are all great.” Essentially, Gadjo Playboys has obviously touched the citizens of Lancaster County, just recently being recognized as one of the top attractions in the region. In addition to the local fame, the group’s music has spread far and wide, offering a clear reflection of the members’ talents and the pervasive appeal of their music. It is truly impressive that with all of the cacophony in the modern world, there is still beautiful music being made all around us…thanks to musicians like Gadjo Playboys.

Oh and seeing as I just returned from Europe and study abroad, I can most certainly recommend some fabulous travel tips for a future musical venture.

It's all about TWO
Just picked up TWO gigs.
We're going in as the Gadjo trio to the Long Park Arts Festival on Sunday September TWO. We play 10:00am to noon. We'll be warmed up from a wedding gig in Annapolis
the night before.

Also just lined up Club 405 in Harrisburg for November TWO.

Also, 'gig' has TWO G's.

'November' has TWO E's.

'Long Park' is really 'Long's Park', and it's a Crafts festival, not an Arts festival. That's TWO errors.

12 noon minus 10 am has a difference of TWO.

'Annapolis' has TWO A's and TWO N's.

If someone in the trio didn't show up, there'd only be TWO.

And, (you'll have to take my word for it) I'm holding up TWO fingers right now. (Peace, bro!).

See? There's more to your theory than you first thought. Nostradamus would have been impressed.

Actually, I just checked. We're BOTH right (and wrong)... it's an ARTS and CRAFTS FESTIVAL.

So, TWO of us halfway screwed up.

Yes, they CAN type... they just don't choose to.
